Languages
At Rochester Arts and Sciences Academy we value the importance of our students being able to learn foreign languages. Indeed as globalization, ease of mobility and enhanced communications bring the world closer together, it becomes increasingly important that our children develop the ability to communicate in many ways.
Learning other languages gives the student the ability to step inside an alternative culture. Indeed, paralleled with acquiring language skills, RASA students examine many aspects of different cultures by studying language through song, dance and drama. At RASA, all students from preschool through sixth grade spend time every day studying Spanish. In addition to Spanish, students study French twice per week.
